It’s Skin High Nutrition Mask Sheet – Avocado *Review*

After an really bad nights sleep, thanks to my toddler who decided 2am was wake up time, I really felt I needed my sheet mask today. The next mask in my challenge included an ingredient I had never used before or knew much about in regards to skincare. Avocado. I was interested to see if this would have any benefits or if it was more of a gimmick, due to avocados being popular recently.

My skin today was better than yesterday, the irritation around my nose had subsided and I did wear a pimple patch on my chin last night (and today after masking). Overall my skin was in good condition before applying this mask.

Mask didn’t fit

This mask did not fit me! It was way too big for my face, and I found this really annoying as it kept slipping around on my face because of this. This was worse around my chin and mouth area and I kept having to readjust the whole time I was wearing. I have a toddler and find it very difficult to be able to wear a sheet mask and just lie still whist I wait the time. With this mask, I would have had to lay completely still to avoid the movement.

The recommended time for this mask was 15-20 minutes, slightly longer than others I’ve used this week. I kept this on for the 15 minutes and honestly, because of the fit I couldn’t wait to get this off. The mask itself was a thicker material and the essence used was also thicker and had a creamy like consistency. I really liked the feel of this and found it refreshing when first applied to the face. The mask was packed with essence (lots of goodness left in the packaging too) and even though there was a lot of it, I found it didn’t get everywhere. I did think this could have been due to it being thicker.

After removal (natural lighting)

Once removed the essence was really easy to pat into my skin, and instantly my skin felt smooth and soft to touch. I was pleasantly surprised at how soft my skin felt. I found this mask super hydrating and moisturising! Once the essence had absorbed into my skin, it felt like I had just applied my moisturiser rather than just a serum.

So, despite not being comfortable with the fit and feel when wearing, the overall achievement of the product wins for me! I would definitely repurchase, & look into other products containing avocado oil.
